A bit about me
I’m Angelika, but you can call me Ang. I’m a perfectly imperfect person who, like most of us, has faced life’s ups and downs.
I’m a lifelong learner, storyteller, and passionate advocate for personal growth and connection. Over the years, I’ve navigated challenges, traumas, and triumphs that have shaped me into the person I am today. Along the way, I’ve discovered the power of resilience, vulnerability, and self-compassion—and the tools and resources that truly make a difference. Now, it’s my mission to share those lessons and insights to help others embrace their own journey of growth and healing.
The Growth Edit is a deeply personal space where I share my stories, reflections, and the things that have helped me the most—whether it’s books, strategies, routines, or resources I’ve found along the way. It’s a space where we can talk about the messy parts of life, celebrate its joys, and tackle the challenges that make us stronger.
My hope is that this blog becomes a judgment-free, compassionate source of connection and inspiration for you—a place where you feel empowered to grow, learn, and become the best version of yourself.
Life is a journey of becoming—let’s grow together, one edit at a time.
I’ve made my share of mistakes. I’ve done good, but I’ve also made choices that hurt others—and deeply hurt myself. In a world so quick to shame, I’ve learned this: the more you internalize others’ opinions, the more power you give them over your life. And at the end of the day, that’s all they are—opinions, not truths.
My mistakes, as painful as they were, taught me invaluable lessons. They forced me to look inward, to grow, and to become the person I am today. I don’t have everything figured out—none of us do—but I know now that my experiences, both good and bad, hold the power to help others.
What we run from pursues us. What we face transforms us.
II once heard someone say, “You have to go through the worst to get to the best.” That simple truth has stayed with me because, in so many ways, it reflects life’s reality. We all stumble, make mistakes, and carry scars from the past. But those struggles, those missteps, are often the very things that shape us into who we’re meant to become.
As humans, we’re flawed, and yet, judgment often feels constant. Opinions—spoken, unspoken, shared freely or whispered behind closed doors—seem to dominate our world. People mistake their viewpoints for universal truths, and instead of extending compassion, we tear each other down. But the reality is, no one is perfect. Mistakes are inevitable. They’re part of being human.
This isn’t to say we shouldn’t hold ourselves accountable. Accountability is essential for growth. But most of the time, the mistakes we make aren’t malicious—they’re born from the best we could do in that moment, with the knowledge and understanding we had. That’s why hindsight is 20/20.
If I had come across something, a story or a piece of advice, that resonated with me during my hardest moments, maybe some of those mistakes could have been avoided. That’s why I’m here, sharing my journey. My goal is simple: to help others—whether in small ways or profound ones.
Because at the end of the day, what truly matters is people. If we can lift each other up, share our insights, and lean on one another, we can transform our stories. We may never be perfect, but together, we can turn lives shaped by hardship into lives defined by growth. And isn’t that what we’re all here for? To become better, together.

My dog’s name is Rodman, and he’s a French Bulldog. He’s quite the menace, but I’m utterly obsessed with him.
I’m a big advocate of adopting shelter dogs as well as volunteering, fostering and donating to reputable rescues and organizations helping to save animals in need!

I absolutely love to read! There’s something magical about getting completely lost in a book—when the world fades away, and hours pass without even realizing it. I’ve definitely had many of those moments!

One of my favorite sayings is, “Be patient—sometimes you have to go through the worst to get to the best.” I truly believe that our biggest challenges and setbacks often lead to the most profound growth. It’s through hardship that we gain resilience, wisdom, and the clarity to create meaningful change in our lives.
